Earlier this week, Slate published an article titled "Don't Try To Solve The Mystery of 'True Detective.' That's Not What It's About." The article goes on to compare "True Detective" to David Lynch's "Twin Peaks," a comparison that has been made a lot, but that I actually find kind of sloppy. However, there's also something that has been bugging me.
